You may already be aware that the M15 Mod Zero and AK-27 have been transformed into close-quarters monsters if you have followed our guides. What about the MXR 17 then? This is different.
The goal is not to change stats but rather to change the identity of the weapon. We have downgraded the MXR 17 and added only five attachments to give it a similar level of handling and mobility to genuine SMGs while still retaining the strength of an Assault Rifle. This is the loadout that you should equip if you want to run and shoot the enemy with other frustrations.
The mmoset 5-Attachment Build
It is generally recommended that you use all eight slots on the weapon to attach attachments. You only need five attachments for this MXR 17 unique conversion. It should still give you the hybrid dominance.
Why this combination works
1. Handling Recoil (Muzzle and Underbarrel).
The MXR 17 is a very powerful recoil gun. The Red Well 90 Compensator will help with some of the recoil. It will also center the weapon and make it easier to control. It is easier to control and aim while sprinting.
2. Speed (Barrel & stock)
The 15-in Wraith barrel gives it a SMG feel. The Aim Down Sight speed (ADS), and Sprint-to Fire speed, are increased. Use the barrel in conjunction with the Grievous covenant Stock to strafe faster than your enemy can track you. This barrel also makes the weapon appear sleeker and more suited for close-quarters combat.
3. Uptime Efficiency (Magazine)
Even though it may seem excessive, 25 rounds can be more than enough for some people, especially when combined with the Flip mag. Reloading on the fly is possible with incredible efficiency. This option allows you to be more mobile than a heavy extended mag, because it is more streamlined. This millisecond reload speed will save you more than just a few rounds, whether you are spawn-trapping or pushing a heavy point.

Be Aggressive
Don't sit back. This build is based on the Wraith Barrel’s sprint-to fire speed. You should be pushing and running towards the enemy's spawn. You can still snap on the target if you are caught sprinting.
The Reload Cancel Flow
Flip Mags eliminate the need to go back to reload. Slide to the next cover and reload if you have 5 bullets remaining after defeating an enemy. You will be ready to shoot before you have even stopped sliding.
Spawn Trapping
You should not be visible to the enemy radar if you use Mute Field. This will allow you to sneak behind your enemy. You can start eliminating enemies as soon as you reach the enemy's starting point. This set-up has several nukes because the enemy is unable to determine where the bullets come from.

A: Can I add a sight to this build?
We prefer the iron sights on the MXR 17. Iron sights on the MXR 17 are sufficient for close-range and medium-range combat and can save you a slot. You can remove the stock if you need an optic but will lose some of your strafe velocity.

Yes, it does. Remember, this build was designed to be an SMG. Recoil control on the MXR 17 will increase range. Damage will decrease from a distance. This build is best for medium and close ranges. There are few other builds on the market that can match its performance.
Q: Why are there only 5 attachments allowed instead of 8?
It is not always beneficial to have more attachments. Extra attachments can sometimes have negative consequences, such as slower aim-down sights. These 5 attachments are the perfect balance of speed and control, without any extra bloat.
